John Swinney

John is currently a Director of Carillion plc. Prior to this he was Managing Director of Pinnacle PSG. He joined Pinnacle in 1994. Previously, John had spent many years in local government. Having worked mainly in Human Resources for the London boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Camden, Hackney and Harrow, he was recruited to use his extensive knowledge to build a London-based social housing business Johnson Fry, as part of a multi-sector housing management operation. He is a member of the CBI's Public Service Strategy Board and the Chair of the CBI's Local Government Panel.
 

Peter Robinson

Peter is a Board member of the Housing Ombudsman Service and Independent Chair of the Value for Money Panel at Swan Housing Group. After a long career in local government, including responsibility for the housing service in the London Borough of Greenwich, he set up a housing consultancy, PRHC, in 1990, advising over 50 housing sector clients at strategic and business planning levels as well as on operational and service delivery matters.
 

Frank Czarnowski

Frank is Chief Executive of West Kent Housing Association, taking over from Barbara Thorndick from 1 August 2010.  Frank is a qualified accountant and was formerly West Kent's Finance Director and Company Secretary.  He joined West Kent in 2001 from a large London based Housing Association, prior to which he worked for the London Docklands Development Corporation.
 

Deborah White

Deborah is Housing & Communities Director at West Kent.  She has a social sciences degree and is a Member of the CIH.  She has over 20 years experience of both operational and strategic housing management and policy.  Before taking up her post at West Kent she worked as Housing Director for Wandle Housing Group and prior to that she worked for Gravesham Borough Council.  



 

Graham Hill

Graham has been a Board member of West Kent Housing Association since 2004 and chairs the Association's Audit and Finance Committee.  He has an MBA from INSEAD and began his career as a management consultant.  He has been chief executive of a number of international information and financial businesses including a public company (Garban plc, now part of ICAP) and the property information group, Investment Property Databank.  Early retirement has enabled him to devote more time to his family, to studying and to voluntary work.
 

Jim Wintour

Jim Wintour is Director of the United St Saviour's Charity in Southwark.  He was previously Director of Housing and Adult Social Care at Camden; Chief Executive of the Queen's Cross Housing Association in Glasgow; and Housing Officer for Shelter.  He holds a Master in City Planning from Harvard University.  Jim started the first Care and Repair scheme to help elderly owner occupiers with their house repairs and led one of the first transfers of council stock to a housing association in Possil, Glasgow in 1987. He has been active in influencing legislation from the introduction of security of tenure for council tenants in 1980 to the Green Paper on Giving today.
